OUR MEDICAL TEAM

Dr Dalil BONABE

Ophthalmologist & Eye Surgeon — Medical Director

Dr Dalil Bonabe is the lead ophthalmologist at African Sight Center. With more than 12 years of experience in medical and surgical ophthalmology, he provides consultations, diagnoses and surgical procedures with consistently high standards of care.
Dr Dalil treats a wide range of eye conditions, from refractive errors to diseases affecting the posterior segment of the eye, including cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
He leads the center with a clear conviction: every patient deserves the standard of care provided by leading ophthalmology centers, regardless of where they live.

Our Ophthalmic Medical Assistants

Two specialized ophthalmic medical assistants (OPECAT) support the ophthalmologist in his daily work.
Each has more than 10 years of experience. They assist during consultations, perform complementary examinations and support patients throughout the different stages of their care.
Their experience and knowledge of clinical protocols help ensure reliable and responsive continuity of care.

Our Optometrists

The center’s optometry team includes two optometrists, including one female practitioner, trained in Mali and specializing in vision assessments, refraction and personalized patient care.
Before each medical consultation, an optometrist performs a comprehensive vision assessment. This preliminary examination improves diagnostic accuracy and allows the consultation with the ophthalmologist to be used as effectively as possible.
They work with both children and adults, with particular emphasis on listening, clear explanations and patient education.

HOW WE WORK

At African Sight Center, a consultation is more than a quick examination. It begins with genuinely listening to you.

Before any examination or treatment, we take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, visual habits and concerns. This provides the foundation for an accurate diagnosis, supported by our advanced diagnostic equipment.

Every patient is different. That is why the care we provide is always personalized — tailored to your individual profile, age, lifestyle and eye condition. There is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Your care does not end when you leave the consultation room. We arrange follow-up appointments, document every stage of your care pathway and make sure you always understand your condition, your progress and what comes next.

Within the center, our ophthalmologist, medical assistants and optometrists work together as a team. Observations are shared and clinical decisions are carefully considered. This collaboration between specialists enables us to provide comprehensive and thorough diagnosis.

Finally, the confidentiality of your medical information is an absolute priority. Your medical records are protected, your privacy is respected and the quality of your care is continuously monitored.
