Our training programs are designed in particular for:
- Residents and physicians undertaking specialist training in ophthalmology

- Opticians and optical technicians
- More broadly, all healthcare professionals seeking to further develop their skills in eye care
Practice-Based Training
Our training programs have a strong practical focus. Training takes place directly within our center, working alongside patients and using advanced equipment.

RESEARCH
Beyond patient care, ASC actively contributes to the development of clinical research in ophthalmology.
Our ambition is to advance scientific knowledge in order to achieve lasting improvements in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases within the African context.
Conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy are often diagnosed too late. Our research aims to improve our understanding of these diseases, refine screening protocols and develop solutions adapted to local needs and realities.
Why Does This Matter?
Training local specialists and investing in research means building a strong and self-sufficient African ophthalmology sector, capable of meeting the eye health needs of its communities.
This is also one of ASC’s founding missions.
